We had an absolutely lovely visit, Martiens and his team took very good care of us and we thoroughly enjoyed our wine tasting. Our favorite part is definitely Shiro the Italian pointer.

Was a great stay. The enclosed outside area was perfect for my labrador, which is an outside dog to stay over the night. She also really enjoyed a bit of farm life and exploring the dam. The resident dogs were also very friendly with her. Great stay overall

One of the most underrated wine regions offering great value-for-money. Martiens took the time to explain the history of the wine region and explained the specifics of growing wine in a desert. Great hospitality; setting up a braai and offering a complementary bottle of estate-grown wine. Will return to explore the location further. Loved it.

Bezalel is lovely accommodation. Staff are very friendly, notably Ansha Strauss who facilitated the brandy tasting session. Ansha fielded all our questions with expertise. Will definitely revisit, and recommend to others.

Bezalel was beautiful, the room was even better than the pictures, it looked like it got a renovation. Martiens was very responsive. The garden and surroundings were absolutely gorgeous. Overall it was a lovely stay.

The space was absolutely what was promised. The bed was super comfy and clean. And Martiens was an excellent host. Helped me out with flexible check in time. I will definitely be looking to stay here the next time I come to Upington. Also had a lovely breakfast and tasting the next morning, friendly staff and very helpful.

Lovely quaint little room on a wine and brandy farm. Our stay was quiet and relaxing. It is a good spot if you intend doing Augrabies. The food was good. The Brandy was Brilliant.

Lovely surprise finding such a quaint and pretty spot on the outskirts of Upington. I was pleasantly surprised and had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Everything! The service was great! Everything was clean.. no mosquitoes! They even have n 3been potjie kos pot if you wanted to make potjie.. there was firewood next to the fireplace. But just be careful. The wine tasting was absolutely amazing!! We learned so much! It was the highlight of our day! Best service overall!

Easy to find, very friendly and welcoming reception on arrival, super compact accomodation which was very very comfortable with the best bed and linen we have experienced on our roadtrip so far. We were able to walk amongst the vines accompanied by the lovely and lively dogs. Beautiful venue for special occasions and quality gift shop. The menu at the restaurant was varied and interesting but as we arrived on Sunday it was not open. Great place for an overnight stay, would highly recommend.

A great stop over spot on the way to Kgalagadi. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We were there on a Sunday so the wine tasting and resturant were closed but there was a choice of other places to go to which our hosts kindly shared with us. We had breakfast at the resturant in the morning and it was great! A nice little shop as well with some lovely goods. Someone who does the curating of the gifts clearly has taste! I was tempted by quite a few items! The rooms had air-conditioning which were very effective at curbing the 45 degree heat.

We love the setting amongst the vineyards and the beautiful garden and lawns around the winery. The room was furnished with everything you need. The restaurant food and staff are delightful. The staff managed to prepare our meals in spite of load shedding at very inconvenient times. The wineries 2 dogs are great fun and lead us on brisk walks around the property in the morning and evening.

Nice location on the lake, great Maerchengarten. Whole house with 3 bedrooms and bathrooms. The dog was super nice and showed us everything and looked after us. Everything was great.

The staff are really friendly and always available if you have questions. The room was very comfortable and clean, we really liked the outdoor area in the countryside. Free wine tasting is included with each night. You feel very welcome and comfortable, which is why we spontaneously stayed one night longer. There is delicious pizza in the restaurant. Wifi was good. A lot of luxury for a good price!

Location was perfect, Wine tasting was also a bonus. Would recommend to anybody, exceptional place to stay. Martiens and his staff was very accommodating. I needed to check in earlier as usual time and I did so without any fuss. I rented the old farm house, and it was picture perfect, inside out. Everything was great!!

We stayed in the old house, which was well equipped. It is very suited for a family as an overnight stopover, or for a break of two days during a long trip. Highly recommended. The complimentary wine tasting was well presented.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom ''old farmhouse'' and it felt like we had our own private house on the farm! The ambience, decor, comfort was exceptional. The outside patio with built-in fireplace was our favorite. We received lots of firewood from the vineyards every day. Excellent, stable wi-fi (only some disruptions during loadshedding). Free wine tasting session was included. Exceptional wines and brandies produced at Bezalel.

God called Bezalel to be a craftsman, giving him the ability to do it very well. The owners of Bezalel Wine & Brandy Estate have the ability to create a beautiful place for a stay over and provide with their team great hospitality. Unfortunately we had no time to taste their wines or brandy but the food was really nice. Not a boring traditional guesthouse but a place you will remember. We loved it ❤️

I’m thinking it’s one the best place to stay in that area. We stayed 2 nights in another places before Bezalel but Bezalel was the best. We liked all - chalet, wine tasting (i had twice), grapes plantation, very friendly dog, beautiful garden with orange lemons and very tasty pizza and burgers in restaurants. we didn’t expect that it will be so good experience for money that we paid. Thank you very much! Strongly recommend to stay here

Lovely wine tasting presented by experienced staff. Lovely surroundings. Enjoyed a safe walk accompanied or rather guided by the estate dog.

The room is beautifull. Shower with cobble stones. We were really sorry to depart. Only 20km from Upington. Worth the extra 20km if you plan to visit the Kalagadi from Gauteng.

Bazalel boasts with a amazing restaurant with exceptional food, our kids enjoyed the fresh air and beauty of the surroundings. The wine tasting was a plus for Me, and definitely a must for all guests.

My stay was spectacular. More than what I expected.

Cheap Luxury! The complementary was a happy surprise for us! we enjoyed it very much, and the staff was excellent. In the morning we asked about where to get firewood, for a braii. And when we got back from the day, it had been brought to the house. The rooms were of a good size, the beds, nice and firm. Overall a nice stay!

We had rented the farmhouse, although we were actually traveling with the motorhome. The price was cheaper than some Campsite. The location is idyllic, the view from the terrace very nice. We hardly noticed that there were workhalls of the winery in the immediate vicinity. The included wine tasting was well done.

At Bezalel you stay and talk with the locals which is a lovely experience. Bezalel is a lovely quiet location away from the main road, in the middle of the vineyards. The staff are very friendly, helpful and interesting to talk with. The breakfast options are generous, served in the boutique cafe and shop.

My wife and I visited Bezalel for our first anniversary and we absolutely loved it! We usually try and find quiet stays without driving too far. Bezalel is located just outside of Upington so the location is convenient and the unit is equipped with everything you'll need. We'll hopefully return in the not-so-distant future.

A gem on the road between Upington and Springbok. Well tended estate with friendly efficient staff. We did wine and brandy tasting and found the hostess well informed about her products. Dinner was excellent under the shade of the huge trees after which we took a walk around the vineyards with the resident dogs Bella and Shira.

Tranquil oasis amongst the vineyards. The location and the setting amongst the vineyards is exquisite. The countryhouse is so spacious and well appointed, and the tranquility is a blessing. This is always our favorite place to stay when in this area. We love the fact that it is a working farm. The complimentary Wine and Brandy tasting is a lovely experience and the staff feel like friends already. The on site restaurant serves very good meals. A must visit

Incredible getaway in a breathtaking and magnificent tranquil setting. Bezalel wine and brandy farm has an authentic rustic farm vineyard feel, excellently laid out and equipped with all the creature comforts. The host Maxè and her staff were very friendly, considerate and thoughtful in making your stay in the green Kalahari memorable! The farm house has something for everyone to do and enjoy whether you are busy bodies like us or just want to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful nature. There are many activities like walking, MTB, wine and brandy tasting, gourmet food, and luxury shopping. The property has a large covered braai area outside on the front porch with plenty of seating and shelter for both winter and summer braai/bbq's, and that guests can enjoy their morning coffee, sandwiches or evening sundowners from. In the evening you are mesmerized by the nearby pond and golden sun sprinkled sunsets on the vineyards. We will definitely recommend Bezalel as a must visit for anyone who loves the outdoors or who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Can't wait to visit again very soon! Very well equipped unit with everything one would need. Bezalel was an oasis from the heat. Beautifully maintained gardens, friendly, helpful staff and the accommodation exceeded our expectations. We spotted a snake on our porch, so guests should watch children. Other than that, our stay was very nice. My in-laws really enjoyed the wine tasting and Martiens was very knowledgeable.

We had a lovely stay at the Country Farmhouse. We have 2 dogs who were allowed to come with us as it is pet-friendly which was a huge bonus for us. Lovely setting with a dam just to the side of the house and a fireplace just made it. Friendly staff around and about the farm. Very clean and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. We did a complimentary wine tasting with Ancia, very knowledgeable and we enjoyed her very much. Thank you for a great stay, we will be back!

Peaceful, luxurious relaxation in a hospitable environment. Bezakel Country House was the treat we needed after a year of hard work.

Very pleasant and satisfying. Accommodation was lovely. House was clean, very spacious and linen was high quality. The wine tasting was exceptional and a bottle of date liqueur went with it. Bezalel goes the extra mile and specially prepared for our group of 5 the most delicious Kalahari 'dinner' that we could enjoy after the wine tasting. The hospitality of the host and hostess was exceptional and the wines and brandy grown here is excellent. Lovely restaurant and professional service all around. Safe farm feel. Very calm. We were a group of 5 adults and 3 children. There was more than enough space for everyone with a very neat equipped kitchen. There are braai facilities although we did not use them. Everything was clean and tidy. Recommend the place.

It was like coming home. The location is just absolutely perfect. One gets the impression of care for the farm, the people and the housing. The house was nicely furnished. You can go for a nice walk and there is the most beautiful pond that you can stare at. The night sounds are fantastic. It's really a gem of a place with gem people.

We really enjoyed our time at Bezalel and would recommend it anytime. Our time at Bezalel was unforgettable. The house is neat and beautiful and the farm is incredible. Our Border Collie was more than welcome and enjoyed the farm incredibly. The owners are also very friendly and made us feel at home. I will visit Bezalel again, as well as easily recommend.

We can not get enough of the weekend we had at Bezalel. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate you and everything that was arranged beforehand was done perfectly. Everything advertised was available, and then small extras, such as the air conditioner that was already turned on at the time of our arrival as well as mosquito repellent available in the room. Situated in beautiful scenery between vineyards as far as the eye can see, picturesque. What an experience to taste Bezalel's own wine and brandy, one should not stop here without tasting it, you're definitely going to miss out! Very unique flavors, we bought a few bottles to share with our friends and family. Bezalel is a hidden gem in the green Kalahari, you will not make a mistake by staying here.
